Stuart's Premier Pickleball Program
Featuring two new regulation pickleball courts and a spectators’
pavilion, Mariner Sands offers an active program for this popular, growing
Created in 1965, pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements
of tennis and badminton. Players use solid paddles, a perforated ball
similar to a wiffle ball, and a hard-surface court with the dimensions of a
badminton court to play this fun and fast-paced game.
The club has over 50 players with skill levels
ranging from 2.5 to 4.0. They enjoy open play, social mixers and professional
exhibitions at the club, and they field three mixed-doubles teams that compete in the Treasure Coast
league at the 2.5 to 4.0 levels.
The pickleball program is supported by the club’s pro
staff and shop, offering clinics, private instruction, and equipment for both
new and experienced players.
