Pickleball and Paddle Sports at Mariner Sands

Featuring six, new regulation pickleball courts and a spectators’ pavilion, the Pickleball program at Mariner Sands is unmatched in Martin County.

Created in 1965, pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of tennis and badminton. Players use solid paddles, a perforated ball similar to a wiffle ball, and a hard-surface court to play this fun and fast-paced game.

The club has over 50 players (with numbers growing!) with skill levels ranging from 2.5 to 4.0. They enjoy open play, social mixers and professional exhibitions at the club, and they field three mixed-doubles teams that compete in the Treasure Coast league at the 2.5 to 4.0 levels.
