The 17th hole of the Tom Fazio Gold Course is a medium - short range dog leg left par 4. A confident, heavy hitting golfer may attempt to cross the water to lay up for a Birdie or even Eagle. Getting across the water is only half the battle though as this putting green is a fast one with some tricky slopes to read. A successful water crossing has led to many 2 and 3 put ventures. The patient and well maneuvered golfer may find that a clean drive and a couple of well placed follow up strikes on the ball can easily lead one to a very satisfying par or better just as easily a bath trying to carry the lake. This is Mr. Fazio at his best designing a beautiful residential golf hole that can be as easy or as challenging as the golfer chooses.
