Mariner Sands

The Premier Club for Court Sports
on Florida’s Treasure Coast

Tennis

You can always get a game at Mariner Sands! We have one of the most friendly and welcoming private tennis communities in South Florida.

With nine professional lighted Har-Tru™ tennis courts, pop-tennis set ups, expert coaching staff and full-service pro shop, the club provides a full program for the tennis enthusiast.

Over 150 strong, our members enjoy competitive open-play matches, a wide variety of social mixers, and professional exhibitions year round. In addition, eight men’s and women’s teams compete in Treasure Coast leagues at the 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0+ levels.

Members have many ways to develop their game. Mario Cobo, Director of Tennis, is the club's full-time certified PTR Tennis Professional and USPTA Elite Professional. Director Cobo and Mike Daley, Assistant Pro, offer a weekly schedule of men’s and women’s tennis clinics, private lessons and group lessons. Tennis conditioning classes are offered by the adjacent Fitness Center. Summer camps for junior players are also very popular.

Pickleball

Featuring two new regulation pickleball courts and a spectators’ pavilion, Mariner Sands offers an active program for this popular, growing sport.

Created in 1965, pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of tennis and badminton. Players use solid paddles, a perforated ball similar to a wiffle ball, and a hard-surface court with the dimensions of a badminton court to play this fun and fast-paced game.

The club has over 50 players with skill levels ranging from 2.5 to 4.0. They enjoy open play, social mixers and professional exhibitions at the club, and they field three mixed-doubles teams that compete in the Treasure Coast league at the 2.5 to 4.0 levels.

The pickleball program is supported by the club’s pro staff and shop, offering clinics, private instruction, and equipment for both new and experienced players.

Bocce

With two 90-foot courts and a spectators’ pavilion, Mariner Sands provides a handsome venue for bocce players.

Today’s bocce is a ball sport derived from a game played in the Roman Empire. Most closely resembling bowling, bocce may be played by two players or two teams of up to four players each.

Players enjoy open play and social mixers at the club. Family play is also fun and popular.
