Mariner Sands Casual Poolside Restaurant Opens

Imagine sitting under a hammock of palm trees next to a glistening pool while you snack on treats like Island Jerk Chicken Wings and sip a crisp Pinot Grigio or sample a cold locally brewed beer. Mariner Sands' $4.6 million renovation project is complete, and we are now able to offer our members and residents a casual dining experience in a tropical, elegant atmosphere.

An open-air bar and grill reminiscent of old Florida extends from comfortable outside seating into a bright and airy interior with vaulted ceilings - reflecting a comfortable southern contemporary style. An above-bar feature wall is fitted with HDTVs and offers diners a perfect venue to watch their favorite sporting events, with a great view from any seat in the house.

Only steps from the dining area is an inviting 6,000 square foot freeform pool with a zero depth entry, a three-lane lap expanse for exercise flanked by lush landscaping.

In addition, the area boasts nine tennis courts, two of which are newly constructed, and two new pickle ball courts, along with a new fully-stocked tennis shop and covered outdoor courtside seating

Golf and social memberships are available and include the use of Mariner Sands amenities.

Come and see it for yourself! For more information about the luxurious renovations, to schedule a tour, or learn more about membership options and homes available for sale, please contact LeAnna Saundry at 772-419-5358 or go to Visit and Discover Mariner Sands!

Golfers, do you know your smash factor?

The new Golf Learning Center, at the far end of the Mariner Sands driving range, offers an improved environment for golf lessons.  With its canopy, it is private, dry and much cooler than the open area of the range.

Available “Flight Scope / Launch Monitor” technology, at no additional cost, provides your instructor with the ability to measure your swing / club speed, ball speed, spin rate and total yards.  Your club face angle and swing path are identified.  All of the statistics are used by the instructor to improve your game.  And, “if you can handle the truth,” Flight Scope provides a video of your swing which is helpful to visual learners.  The video is optional as some golfers do not want to see themselves swing.

The new Golf Learning Center is large enough for golf clinics and 3-4 instructors.  Individual lessons remain at $90 for one hour, $50 for one-half hour and $25 per person for clinics. Take a lesson and you will learn about your smash factor.  Sign up for lessons with Tim McKenna, Jim Chorniewy, Loretta Giovannettone or Guy Mancini at the pro shop.
